In honor of the late, great Captain Beefheart Cool Al Lover has been putting together a reworking of Cpt. Beefhearts first album “Safe as Milk” and will be releasing it to you for free download Monday Dec. 27th on his site www.coolallover.com.  One final free download of the year, and I think it will be the best one yet (with such good source material how can one go wrong, not to mention Al Lover is the Dude!?)  In the words of Al Lover himself, “The man was a true innovator and I only wish to try to carry on in the tradition of strange music. The tribute project will be titled “Safe as Milk Replica” and will be composed of sample based, fuzzed out psychedelic beats taken from each song on the record and pieced back together with heavy drums and lots of weirdness. Needless to say I will be pulling all nighters in the lab over the course of this week, but I think the rewards will be great.
